For our July training, we spent some time training on our dry hydrant system and practicing getting water flowing quickly and efficiently.

Since not every area we serve has access to a traditional fire hydrant, dry hydrants are an important part of our water supply operations. Taking the time to train with them helps make sure we’re ready when we need them.

Hands-on training is an important part of staying prepared and making sure our members are familiar with the equipment and procedures they may need during an emergency.

On June 7th, Ashley Fire Rescue members spent some time training on vehicle extrication techniques. Training like this gives our firefighters the opportunity to practice using the tools and equipment needed during serious vehicle accidents.
