The Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants September 25th through October 6th between 7am and 4pm. You might experience changes in water pressure or discoloration of water. Run your water until it clears. Check water color before doing laundry. Hydrant flushing is necessary to maintain safe drinking water for they system.

It's been a trying couple weeks for us, but we're getting through. Dealing with a dead furnace, cars, snow, and after almost three years evading it Miss Rona finally caught up with us both this week. Needless to say the shop is closed and we'll be missing the market this weekend. Stay safe out there, get vaxxed+boosted, and if we dont see you before then have a great Christmas! Now that turkey day is over, it's time to stock up on gifts for the holidays or find that perfect cozy winter sweater. Luckily we're here to help... we'll be open at the shop in Ashland this weekend from 11-5, plus more regular store hours through Christmas.

The Quince and Quail has a great show coming up, plus Brimfield to follow!

Our White Mountains Collection is coming to ! We've spent years collecting hunting jackets, ski gear, sweaters, coats and more from the camps and cottages in northern New Hampshire. Central to who we are as collectors and dealers is the gentle shine and grace of New England and its relationship to the White Mountains. Generations of New Englanders have spent the last century and a half packing old farm houses and lodges in the mountains with the old paintings and shabby furniture from their town houses in Boston and the endless rambling wooden suburbs that surround it. We've found in our explorations an anachronistic layering of coats and sweaters, some ancient, others mod freely mingled amongst themselves. So finally this September we bring them down off the mountin and to you, a selection of winter apparel and accessories in various plaids and solids all of good quality and just in time for winter.

The Quince and Quail will be open by appointment only for a while.

In the lead up to September Brimfield and Threadbare, we've decided to make the shop in Ashland open by appointment only for the next few weeks. As many of you know we do other things besides the shop too, and we're in the middle of a renovation project that needs a lot of attention. Between that and preparing for the shows we're crazy busy and need all the time we can get. We appreciate you all understanding!
