Hope's Place Child Advocacy Center

Hope's Place Child Advocacy Center Hope’s Place actively seeks to reduce the occurrence of sexual abuse and heighten awareness through prevention education.

We are the Child Advocacy Center for the FIVCO region of Kentucky and Southeastern Ohio who provides free services to survivors impacted by child sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers. Hope’s Place is a victim-focused, children’s advocacy center that provides a safe atmosphere, lessens trauma and promotes healing by maximizing services through a multi-disciplinary team approach for child victims of sexual abuse. Facts:

Statistics show that 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused by the time they are 18. In other words; 400, 000 babies born this year in the United States will be sexually abused before they turn 18. Children are the victims in 66% of all sexual offenses reported to law enforcement. It is estimated that this crime is severely underreported and that the actual numbers are much higher. Sexual abuse is a genderless crime void of socioeconomic limitations. Studies show up to 90% of children who are victims of sexual abuse know their abuser and 60% of children who are sexually abuse are abused by people the family knows and trusts!

When children share difficult experiences, they deserve to be heard with care and compassion.

One way Hope's Place helps reduce additional trauma is through forensic interviews conducted by specially trained professionals in a child-friendly environment.

The goal is simple: to help children tell their story in a safe, supportive setting while reducing how often they have to repeat what happened.

Every child deserves a process centered on dignity, comfort, and healing, and we're honored to be part of that journey for the families we serve.

Healing after trauma often requires more than one kind of support.

At Hope's Place Child Advocacy, our team walks alongside children and caregivers throughout their journey, helping connect them with the resources and services they need.

Our services may include:
💙Medical referrals
💙Family support
💙Legal advocacy
💙Guidance through the criminal or civil justice system
💙Assistance with challenges involving school, work, housing, and other community resources

No family should have to navigate these challenges alone.
Compassionate care helps make the path forward a little easier.
