Hello everyone! I can't believe it's already the beginning of February and only 38 days until the March 19th Primary!
In an earlier post I said I'd tell you all a bit about myself, so here goes...I am an Ashland County native and was raised in Nova and Ashland with my respective parents. I graduated from Mapleton with the Class of 1994 and then went on to graduate from the University of Akron with a degree in Business Management.
After graduating I worked at Endress Title in Cuyahoga Falls before transferring to Lawyers Title in Mansfield where I began work as a title examiner and spent my days in the Richland County Recorder's Office doing title searches.
After marrying my husband Jeff and having our son Nikolas, I began my time as a stay at home mom and we had 2 daughters, Megan and Kate. Throughout those years I searched part time for a company as an independent searcher, searching in 9 different counties including Ashland. I also spent a lot of that time volunteering with various groups within Mapleton Schools, Nova Lions Club, and Maple Grove Church of the Brethren.
My husband passed away in 2015 and since then all 3 of my kids have graduated from Mapleton. My son Nik graduated from Kent State University and currently works in Ashland. My daughter Megan graduated from the University of Akron, currently lives in Cleveland, and just began her studies at Ohio State University working on her Masters of Social Work, and my youngest daughter Kate is a student at Ohio University working towards her degree in Field Ecology.
I live in the Northern part of our County on our family's farm and spend my time working full time at the Ashland County Recorder's Office and part time for The Northern Ohio District Church of the Brethren. I'm a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren where I am a Deacon and volunteer in different capacities there. Beyond that I love spending time with my kids and family! If you see me out and about I'm usually with one of my kids when they're home or am watching one of my many nieces and nephew's activities.
I'm so excited for this path that God has led me to and cannot wait to become the next Ashland County Recorder!
