The regular scheduled Board of Aldermen meeting for tonight is Cancelled due to lack of quorum. This meeting has been rescheduled for September 29th.

The Mill and Overlay crew will be on-site Tuesday, September 8th. They plan on starting on the North side of town - Fall court, Summertime Dr., Turner Ave, & Bass St. Once these are done, they will jump to the streets on the south side - Oak St. & S. Walnut.
The the paving crew will mobilize the following week - 14th or 15th to install asphalt. Please reach out to Kevin Crooks, Public Works Director, if you have any questions.

ATTENTION MONDAY TRASH ROUTE RESIDENTS:
The trash truck was having some issues yesterday and the driver was unable to complete the route. He plans to service what was missed yesterday today. Please call City Hall if your trash has not been serviced by the end of today. Thanks for your patience.

Employee Spotlight:
Zack Banning, Water Systems Operator. Zack has been employed with the City of Ashland for 2 years. Prior to that Zack worked as a Summer seasonal employee for the Ashland Streets Department while he was still in high school. He has been a resident of Ashland for 15 years, and in his spare time I likes to hunt, fish, and hit the gym. Thanks for your dedication, Zack!

Residents of Ward 1 who are interested in serving on the Board of Aldermen are asked to submit a letter of interest to Mayor Slinker at [email protected]. The Mayor will review all submissions and recommend an appointment to the Board of Aldermen. The ward map is available on the City’s website.

ATTENTION OAK STREET AND JOHNSON RESIDENTS:
The City of Ashland Public Works Department will be doing a water protection test TONIGHT. Starting at 12:00am(midnight)-1:00am the water will be shut off to run the test during this time. Thank you for your patience.
