We Heard Your Questions — Recycling FAQ Now Available! ♻️
As we prepare to launch curbside recycling service on June 3, we’ve received several great questions from residents about collection schedules, accepted materials, cart delivery, and the transition away from the current bulk recycling site.
To help answer those questions, we’ve created a Recycling FAQ with the most commonly asked questions and helpful program details.
View the FAQ here: https://www.ashlandmo.us/Faq.aspx?TID=20
If your question is not addressed in the FAQ, please contact City Hall and staff will be happy to assist.
We’re excited to bring this new service to the community and appreciate everyone’s patience as we roll out this expanded recycling program.

Below you will find information that might help you understand how to find things or learn about information you might need to know about your city or town.

UPDATE-You will notice this week a new blue recycle cart will be delivered at your residence. Please see details below on when your recycle pick up will be.

Curbside recycling collection for residential solid waste customers begins June 3.

Over the next few weeks, eligible customers will receive a recycling roll cart along with welcome materials and program guidelines.

Residents can visit the City website to:
- View the recycling route map and find their collection day
- Review accepted recycling materials
- Learn program guidelines and collection details

As part of this service expansion, the current bulk recycling collection site will be phased out and will permanently close no later than June 30.

If you have not received your cart before service begins, please contact City Hall.

We’re excited to expand recycling service and make participation more convenient for residents. This service is provided as part of your residential solid waste services with the City of Ashland and is included as part of the negotiated contract renewal with the City's service provider, Republic Services.

Emergency Notification: Sewer Service Disruption

5/7/26 @3:56pm
Repair crew is wrapping up on site. Repairs are complete but there may be some cleanup remaining. Residents can return to normal usage.

5/7/26 @12:27pm
Repair crews will be on site later this afternoon to conduct a lining project on the compromised section of main. There will be no disruptions to services during this repair as it is a repair in place project. Post will be updated when they e completed the repair and cleared the site.

5/6/26 @ 5:15pm Update
The City is aware of a sewer main break in Setters Knoll subdivision causing service disruptions.

Homes located on Covey Ridge, Quail Ridge, Silver Snipe, Russian Setter, and American Setter north of Russian Setter should limit sewer usage to essential needs. Refrain from washing loads laundry or running dishwashers or conducting other household tasks that produce heavy sewer usage.

Continue to refrain from heavy usage. Material obstructions at the break have been cleared and flow is reasonably restored, however the main is still compromised. Crews will be on site in the morning to retelevise the line to better assess the damage and develop a repair plan.

The damaged main is 25+ feet deep which requires specialized equipment to excavate. The City is working to establish a repair plan and mobilize necessary resources. A better understanding of a repair plan of action will be made tomorrow after the line can be televized again and reviewed with contractors.

This post will be amended when specific service disruptions are identified.

Questions can be directed to Kevin Crooks, Director of Public Works at 573-657-2091 or [email protected]
