๐Ÿšจ COMMUNITY ALERT ๐Ÿšจ

The Ashland Police Department has recently received several reports regarding stolen license plates from the 600 block and 1200 block of Willis Avenue and 3rd Avenue East, in the City of Ashland. Plates were stolen and placed on different vehicles.

We are asking residents to please check their vehicle license plates and report any suspicious activity immediately. In many cases, stolen plates are later used in other criminal activity, making early reporting extremely important.

๐Ÿ”น Tips to help protect your plates:
โ€ข Park in well-lit areas whenever possible
โ€ข Periodically check to ensure your plates are still attached
โ€ข Consider using theft-resistant screws or fasteners
โ€ข Report suspicious persons or vehicles in your neighborhood

If you discover your license plate has been stolen, please contact the Ashland Police Department right away to file a report. Prompt reporting helps protect you from potential misuse associated with the stolen plate.

๐Ÿฉ Donuts with a Cop๐Ÿฉ
The Ashland Police Department had a wonderful time visiting Lake Superior Elementary! Officer Mitch Westlund dropped by Ms. Westlundโ€™s 1st-grade class for a special morning of learning and sweet treats.
Officer Westlund spoke to the students about what it truly means to be a police officer, sharing details about his daily job and how he helps keep our community safe. The students had fantastic energy and came prepared with some excellent, curious questions about police work!
Thank you to Ms. Westlundโ€™s class for being such an awesome audience, welcoming us into your classroom, and sharing donuts with us!
