I just spoke with the Deputy Circuit Clerk clerk of DeSoto county. Our 2026 voting roll numbers dropped from 132,000 to 117,000.
Earlier this year, was contracted by the state of Mississippi to investigate voters Names.. ( Mississippi SOS paid Experian $50k for voters' consumer data https://share.google/polwAObUJrZCe2VlA ). As a result of Experian's report, 😵😵15,000 DeSoto County voters had their voting status changed to INACTIVE.
How many in Benton County were "Experianed" ? Why is a credit company allowed to have access to our voter rolls?
Also earlier this year, our Desoto County Clerk's office mailed these 15,000 no longer active voters a letter to let them know their voting status has been changed to inactive, but few responded.
On 11/3/26, election day, inactive voters will be told that their name is not on the voting rolls, and they cannot vote. The voter needs to request an affidavit ballot so they can vote.
The poll worker will not be able to see why their name is NOT on the voting rolls, Nor which precinct, they need to go to so that their affidavit ballot is counted.
The affidavit ballot will only be counted if it has been cast at the correct voting precinct and the affidavit ballot information will update their voting status to active for the 2027 elections.
What can we do? CHECK YOUR VOTING STATUS by calling your County Clerk.
There are websites that seemed to all be tied into the Mississippi Secretary of State's (false) voting status information but the Secretary of State's website will only tell you if you are registered to vote.
Not what your voting 👉👉 status is.
If your name has been purged from the voting rolls, you are no longer registered to vote. But if your name has been changed from active to inactive, you are still registered to vote. So, IN MY OPINION, the SOS website is deliberately vague when it attacked thousands and thousands of voters and hid their changed voting status by only telling them if they are or are not registeredto vote.

PLEASE Encourage your friends and family to vote absentee. Make an appointment to be out of town on election day, 11/3 so that you qualify to vote absentee because you honestly will be out of town.
Vote absentee in September when six weeks of absentee voting begins Monday, September 21st, so that any voting problems you might encounter on 11/3/26 election day, can instead be resolved before the 10/5/26 deadline for voter registration.
It bears repeating 👉👉👉 Six weeks of will begin Monday, September 21st, M-F, 8am-5pm, and these 3 Saturdays: 10/4, 10/24, & 10/31, 8:00am-noon at ALL 82 Mississippi Circuit Clerk’s Offices, in every County in Mississippi.
The last day for in-person absentee voting is Saturday, October 31st, 2026, 8am-noon.
Qualified voters should when the weather is nice in September because the newly passed " " might prevent some women from voting.
In 2026 our Mississippi Legislature changed absentee voting so that now your finished absentee ballot is secured in a voting machine, just like election day ( NOT into an envelope to be opened after 7pm on election day).
Here are the 8 allowable excuses to qualify to vote absentee:
**Any person who is sixty-five (65) years of age or older. !
**Any qualified elector who will be unable to vote in person because he or she is required to be at work on election day during the times at which the polls will be open or on-call during the times when the polls will be open.

***Any qualified elector who is away from his or her residence within the county on election day for any reason.

Any qualified elector who is a bona fide student, teacher or administrator at any college, university, junior college, high, junior high, or elementary grade school whose studies or employment at such institution necessitates his or her absence from the municipality of his or her voting residence on the date of any primary, general or special election, or the spouse and dependents of that student, teacher or administrator if such spouse or dependent(s) maintain a common domicile, outside of the county of his or her voting residence, with such student, teacher or administrator.

Any qualified elector who is required to be away from his or her place of residence on any election day due to his or her employment as an employee of a member of the Mississippi congressional delegation and the spouse and dependents of such person if he or she shall be residing with such absentee voter away from the municipality of the spouse's voting residence.

Any person who has a temporary or permanent physical disability and who, because of such disability, is unable to vote in person without substantial hardship to himself, herself or others, or whose attendance at the voting place could reasonably cause danger to himself, herself or others.

The parent, spouse or dependent of a person with a temporary or permanent physical disability who is hospitalized outside of his or her residence within the county or more than fifty (50) miles distant from his or her residence, if the parent, spouse or dependent will be with such person on election day.

Any member of the Mississippi congressional delegation absent from Mississippi on election day, and the spouse and dependents of such member of the congressional delegation.
