Tennesseans impacted by Winter Storm Fern have one week left to apply for FEMA or SBA disaster assistance.

The deadline is June 10, 2026. FEMA assistance is available for homeowners, renters, and students in approved counties. Support may include:
• Temporary housing
• Home repairs
• Personal property losses
• Medical, dental, transportation, funeral needs
The SBA also offers low‑interest disaster loans to renters and homeowners.

This week is to recognize and appreciate EMS. It should really be done daily. We have an outstanding group of AEMT’s, Paramedics , and Critical Care Paramedics serving Cheatham County. The job can be stressful and under valued but these folks do it anyway. I could not be more proud of my employees. If you see anyone from Cheatham County EMS or any other EMS provider, let them know how much they are appreciated.

FEMA ICE STORM 2026 UPDATE

FEMA’s Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will return to Pegram Park, located at 516 Thompson Road, Pegram, TN.
FEMA will be there from Monday, May 18th through Saturday, May 23, 2026. The hours of operation will be from 7:00a.m. until 7:00p.m.

FEMA"s Mobile Disaster RV will return to the park in Pegram, Tennessee from today Monday May 4, 2026 until Wednesday May 6, 2026. The hours of operation are from 9am until 6pm each day. If you had damage or losses from the January 2026 Ice Storm, please go by and sign up for assistance. If you have any questions, please call the Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency at 615 456-4419.
