☀️💦 What an awesome way to kick off summer break!

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers had a great time participating in the “Rock the Block Party” in Ashland City alongside some amazing community partners. Our SRO team hosted a Teen Driver Safety activity where students used BAC impairment goggles to experience how impaired driving affects coordination, balance, and reaction time. The students completed different tasks while wearing the goggles, helping start important conversations about making safe choices behind the wheel.

A huge thank you to the community groups and organizations that came out to support our youth and make this event possible, including the Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition, Camp Thrive Tennessee, Cheatham County Juvenile Court, and Rocketown Cheatham County. Your dedication to our community makes a difference!

To wrap up the evening, everyone cooled off with an epic water gun fight that had kids (and adults!) laughing and having a blast! 💦

We appreciate everyone who came out and helped create a safe, fun, and educational event for Cheatham County students. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

BIG SHOUTOUT to our Cheatham County high schools for an outstanding year in the Reduces TN Crashes!!

This statewide teen driver safety program works throughout the school year to reduce teen crashes and save lives on Tennessee roadways. Your hard work, leadership, and commitment to safe driving are making a real difference in our communities.

School is just about out and Summer is here!!

7th-12th graders — come out to Rock the Block Party in Ashland City for an afternoon packed with free food, water fights, karaoke, ice cream, games, and the skate park!! This is all about bringing students together to start the Summer off right 😎

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office was proud to have K9 Vader and his handler, Sergeant Demonbreun, visit the Girl Scouts Troop 173 in Pleasant View!

The group had a great time learning about the important role K9s play in law enforcement, as well as how deputies and their four-legged partners work together to help keep our community safe. K9 Vader was definitely a hit with the Scouts!

Special thanks to Cedar Valley Canine for giving an inside look at how law enforcement K9s are trained. We appreciate your support and expertise!

While many students, faculty, and staff enjoy a well-deserved Spring Break, our commitment to safety and growth never takes a break.

Several of our School Resource Officers recently participated in the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office’s first in-house Field Training Officer course—continuing to sharpen their skills and invest in their professional development.

Our SROs are dedicated to staying ahead of current training trends and setting a high standard of consistency and excellence for those who will serve in our schools in the future.
