Thank you to every candidate who stepped forward to serve, and thank you to the voters, volunteers, poll workers, and supporters who helped make the election possible.

Well this is interesting: "I hate this city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all the things that make Nashville apparently a 'it' city..."

While in some context, I think all of us locals could agree Nashville has definitely changed, some for better and some for the worse. However, I can NOT imagine just scorching earth on all of these people like this.

Even for Cheatham County, tourist come to Nashville and then filter out to our community, leave their money, and go home. I have said publicly many times: tourism is one of the highest financial return on investments we can have in Cheatham County. Tourist are not a drain on our infrastructure such as schools, fire - police - EMS, subdivisions, etc. They come here, spend their money, and go home. I'm sure the small business owners in Middle Tennessee would tell you the same! Many of them would close up shop and lose their businesses if it weren't for the tourist!!!

It's been a crazy few days for the Cheatham County GOP! Last week, we had the largest GOP meeting we have ever had, with 70+ people in attendance!!!! The energy for the 7th district Congressional race, and our candidate, Matt Van Epps is EXCITING! People have been putting up signs and getting ready for early voting - which starts Wednesday, November 12th. Election day, December 2nd.
