Last weekend, members of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office DWI Task Force participated in the Slow Down, Move Over Car Show held at Asheville Outlets on May 31.

The event brought together public safety agencies, community members, and vehicle enthusiasts to promote awareness of North Carolina’s Move Over Law and the importance of keeping first responders, law enforcement officers, and roadside workers safe.

Our DWI Task Force was joined by a special guest, the Batmobile, which quickly became a crowd favorite throughout the day.

We’re proud to share that the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office took home First Place in the Special Vehicle Category.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit, learn more about traffic safety, and support this important event. Congratulations to our DWI Task Force on a well-deserved win!
