From the Office of the Fire Chief.

I’m incredibly proud to recognize Lt. Matt Bartlett for earning his Associate’s Degree in Fire Protection.

This achievement reflects his dedication to continuing education and professional development, and to bringing the highest level of knowledge and service back to our department and community. Education like this strengthens our ability to respond effectively, operate safely, and make sound decisions when our residents need us most.

To the community we serve, this is a great example of the value you receive from your fire department. Your support helps ensure that our firefighters are trained, educated, and prepared to provide professional emergency services every day. Lt. Bartlett’s accomplishment is not only a personal milestone but also a benefit to the community he proudly serves.

Congratulations, Lt. Bartlett. We are proud of you and grateful for your continued commitment to excellence.

🔥 CHECK YOUR 5! 🔥

The first 5 feet around your home is the most important wildfire defense zone. If it touches your house, it can ignite your house.

Protect your family and home by creating an ember-resistant zone around your property:

✅ Remove anything that can burn
✅ Replace mulch with stone or gravel
✅ Keep your home exterior clean
✅ Make your home’s touchpoints ember-resistant
✅ Space and maintain plants

Small changes can make a big difference during wildfire season. Start today and help protect what matters most.
