Here's a throwback post from when we had a performer come in and play music to our attendees at Faye's Place Elder Club! Faye's Place Elder Club is where older adults can socialize and participate in fun activities, like the one shown here! It meets three days a week from 11am-2pm in Asheville, along with one day a week in Hendersonville. Attendees do light exercises and enjoy a nutritious lunch prepared by a chef on-site.

Follow along for more updates about what we get up to at Elder Club, and JFS as a whole!

Emotional wellness is not about feeling happy all the time. Rather, it’s about how we cope with stress, stay connected to others, and continue finding meaning and purpose as life evolves. Many older adults experience feelings of isolation, anxiety, or depression, yet hesitate to seek support. There are many simple, meaningful ways to support emotional well-being each day.

Jewish Family Services of WNC offers compassionate support for older adults, caregivers, and families navigating life’s transitions through programs including Healing Solutions Counseling, Senior Care Management, and Faye’s Place Elder Club.

Jewish Family Services of WNC attended NAMI's Joyfest last weekend, spreading awareness of our accessible mental health counseling services to the community! We had great time at the event, connecting with vendors and attendees alike.

Joyfest is an event centered on creativity and community, featuring local artist vendors and community partners sharing mental health resources. The event raised funds for NAMI to support accessible, peer-centered mental health programming in WNC.
