Yesterday, we helped kick off the Summer Reading Program at Franklinville Public Library with our Fossil Dig Dirt Cups! πŸ¦•πŸ¦΄πŸ€

Participants learned what fossils are and discovered that paleontologists are scientists who study dinosaurs and fossils. Then the fun really began! We buried our dinosaurs, built up layers of β€œrock” sediment, and carefully dug to uncover our fossils… before enjoying a tasty treat at the end!

Missed it? No worries! We’ll be at Seagrove Public Library tomorrow, June 17, at 10:30 AM, doing it all again. We hope to see you there!

Unearth A Story at your local library this summer!

Randolph County 4-H will be doing summer reading programs this summer at local libraries. We've got lots of fun planned for families. On Monday we kicked off the summer with Dino Eggs at the Archdale Public Library. Kids and families learned about the relationship between dinosaurs and modern day poultry. Then we made Dinosaur Egg Energy Bites! πŸ¦– πŸ₯š πŸ€

Join us on Thursday at 2pm at the Liberty Library and make your own Dino Egg Energy Bites!

Be sure to check with the library closest to you for the full summer schedule!
