If you feel unsure meeting someone for Market Place or other transactions, consider meeting at our APD North Station located at 1453 N. Fayetteville St. Our HQ has a much smaller public parking lot but is located at 205 E. Academy St. Just keep in mind that the front offices are staffed M-F 8-5. However, officers are often times at these stations. Randolph County Sheriff's Office, NC also has a safe exchange point in their parking lot. This option is available at most law enforcement agencies.

Plans are removed from the Messenger thread with your friend or family member after the scheduled meeting time.
- Do not change the meetup location once it's agreed upon.
- Bring a fully charged mobile phone with you.
- Save local authorities' phone number in your speed dial.
- Notify the other person if you're running late or on your way.
- Carry minimal cash.

Meeting up

- Follow local laws and directives.
- If you're meeting someone in person, we recommend arranging your meeting in a public, well-lit area.
- Create and share your meeting plan with a trusted friend or family member through Messenger.
- Use a live location sharing app or function on your mobile phone to share your location with a family member or friend during your scheduled meetup.

Consider delivery options for items

🚧 Drunk Driver Crashes Her Vehicle Into... bet you can't guess... Another Drunk Driver's Car. You can't even make this stuff up.

- Officer Otero arrested a female for DWI (.20 BAC) and related charges after she crashed her car into another vehicle. The driver of the second car also happened to be impaired. Officer Reeves arrested that female for DWI (.10 BAC) and related charges.

- Officer Bautista arrested a male for DWI, reckless driving, and fail to maintain lane after he exited I-73 via the grass and vaulted over the guardrail, landing upside down on Vision Dr.

- Officer Wall arrested a female for DWI and related charges after she wrecked on Albemarle Rd. Several citizens called in about her erratic driving, but she wrecked before officers could stop her.

- Officers responded to E Central Ave in reference to a collision involving a motorcycle and car. APD Traffic Unit responded to take over the investigation. Impairment is suspected in this incident.

- Officer Moody arrested a male for DWI after a 3-car collision.

- Officer Castro arrested a female for DWI and related charges.

- Officer Bautista arrested a female for DWI.

- Officer Andrews arrested a male for DWI (.24 BAC) and served warrants on him. Officer Spencer served outstanding warrants on the passenger.

- Officer Spencer arrested a female for DWI and related charges.

- Officer Black arrested a male for DWI and open container.

- Officer Medley arrested a male for DWI and related charges.

- Officer Reeves arrested a female for hit and run after she was observed backing into another vehicle and then attempting to leave the scene.

🚨 Drive by Shootings, Felons with Fi****ms, & Fentanyl Dealers. There's 3 hots and a cot waitin' for all of 'em. 🔐

- Officers responded to the area of Watkins St due to a drive by shooting. A crime scene was located there and a victim with a GSW was tretated at a hospital. APD detectives responded and took over the investigation.

- Officer Otero arrested a male during a traffic stop for Possession of Stolen Firearm, Possession of Weapon of Mass Destruction, Possession of Machine Gun, and Carrying Concealed Gun. A G***k with a switch was recovered, and the gun was stolen from Greensboro.

- Officer Reeves arrested a male for trespassing at a local business. The male was in possession or a handgun that was reported lost from RCSO. Officer Reeves charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed gun, and communicating threats.

- Officer Reeves charged a male with carrying a concealed gun and possess ma*****na. A R***r 9mm was taken as evidence.

- Officer Spencer conducted a traffic stop at W Wainman and Pershing. K9 Bandi was deployed and alerted on the vehicle. Following the investigation, POI Spencer seized over an ounce of M**h. He arrested a male for possession of M**h and related charges, and he arrested the passenger for possess with intent to sell M**h.

- Officer Bym charged a male with Trafficking Fentanyl, PWIMSD Fentanyl, and Possess Drug paraphernalia after 6.7g of Fentanyl was discovered on his person.

- Officer Lambert found a subject trespassing on personal property. Officer Lambert arrested him and charged him with Possess M**h, Possess Drug Paraphernalia, and Second-Degree Trespass.

- Officer Xayyabanha charged 2 subjects with possession of Sch III drugs during a traffic stop and K9 alert.

- Officers Byers charged a subject for possession of Fentanyl and M**h.

- Officer Woods charged a female with possession of M**h and Drug Paraphernalia.

- Officer Woods arrested a female for Possess with Intent to Sell Fentanyl, Expose Child to a Controlled Substance, Maintain Vehicle for Controlled Substance, Drug Paraphernalia, and Unsafe Movement.

- Officer Woods arrested a Male for Possession of M**h and Drug paraphernalia,

- Pursuant to an investigation, Detective Workman arrested a subject for 9 Alcohol Beverage Control violations.

- Officer Globuschutz arrested a male for assault on a female and possession of He**in.

- Officer Hamilton arrested a male for possession of co***ne, resist arrest, warrants, and related charges.

- Officer Castro arrested a male for possession of m**h and related charges.

- Officer Black conducted a traffic stop at Summit Apts on a Dodge Ram truck. K9 Bandi was deployed and alerted on the vehicle. Officer Black charged the male with Possession of M**h and related charges.

- Officers responded to the area of Cascade Ave due to three individuals in masks and dark clothing looking into cars. Officer Otero located them attempting to hide in the woods and they were detained. All three were juveniles and were taken home and turned over to parents. Nothing was located broken into at this time.

- Officer Reeves arrested a male for possession of m**h and paraphernalia.
