Brian's Gift Road Race On August 20, 1979, Brian Simmons set out on a path in life that was cut short, all too abruptly, by a drunk driver on July 26, 2003. He was a big Red Sox fan.

Those whose paths intersected with Brian's understand that he had a special gift to offer. About Brian Simmons:

Brian was an Ashburnham, MA native, the middle child of the Simmons' three sons. Brian loved sports and was especially adept at soccer. He loved being with his friends and was a spark of light in any group he was with. He graduated from Oakmont Regional High School and later from The Un

iversity of Massachusetts in Amherst with a degree in business administration. He had just started his first full-time job as a unit coordinator on the 3rd floor of UMass Hospital in Worcester. Brian was killed by a drunk driver after leaving from work on July 26th, 2003.
