HONOR OUR HISTORY. SUPPORT THORNTON HIGH SCHOOL.

On Tuesday, June 23, the Loudoun County School Board will consider names for High School 14. One of the finalists is Thornton High School—a name that recognizes generations of community, resilience, educational achievement, and local history in the Watson community.

We encourage community members, alumni, families, students, educators, faith leaders, and supporters of preserving local history to attend the School Board meeting and make your voice heard.

✨ Thank You for Joining Us ✨

On behalf of Minority Student Achievement Advisory Committee, thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Annual EquiTEA & Awards Celebration.

This afternoon was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with purpose, care, and joy. From our student voices and meaningful conversations to the celebration of those making a difference in the lives of students across LCPS — we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this event so special.

Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients and nominees. Your leadership, advocacy, compassion, and commitment to students inspire us all. 💛

And thank you to our delegates, families, staff, community members, honored guests, and supporters for continuing to walk alongside us in this work.

Together, we continue building spaces where every student feels seen, supported, and able to succeed.
