🎉 Happy Birthday & Best Wishes’ Farewell Breakfast to Our District and School Leaders! 🎉
We recently gathered for a special Farewell Breakfast to celebrate milestones, leadership, and service across Turner County Schools!
We are incredibly proud to recognize Jason Clark, Turner County High School Principal, on his promotion and leadership advancement. Mr. Clark’s commitment to students and staff has left a lasting impact, and we look forward to watching his continued success in this next chapter.
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Sonya Mizell, Special Education Director, as she enters retirement. Ms. Mizell’s years of dedicated service, advocacy for students, and unwavering professionalism have made a difference in countless lives.
In addition, we were excited to celebrate birthdays for our district and school leaders during the months of April and May. We hope each of you felt the appreciation and gratitude you so richly deserve.
🎂 Happy Birthday to:
Jason Clark, Sonya Mizell, Ben Lavender, Faye Belflower, Mike Coker
Beginning in 2026, Superintendent Christy Wray launched a new birthday tradition during monthly principal/director meetings - honoring leaders with a custom, Titan-themed hand-painted rock as a token of appreciation. Each rock represents the strong foundation our leaders help build across Turner County Schools. The Titan logo reflects our strength, pride, and unity, and each painted name symbolizes the vital role each leader plays in our district’s success.
💬 “A strong education is built on committed people who lay the foundation for lifelong learning.”
Thank you all for being steady “rocks” for our students, staff, and community. We are stronger because of you - and we look forward to continuing the great work ahead together. 💙
