Wyatt Conner, 39, of Hardy, was arrested for Failure to Comply with Conditions.

Vasiliy Gossen, 34, Rogersville MO, was arrested for Hold for Other Couty/State.

Marlin Hambrick, 26, of Cave City, was arrested for Violation of Suspension or Probation.

Jeffrey Harris, 36, of Evening Shade, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia M**h, Co***ne, He**in, Fentanyl.

Margaret Ivie, 28, of Sidney, was arrested for Contempt of Court.

The following are the Sharp County community service hours. There were 288 accumulative hours worked from 8/16/2026-8/22/2026, completing several projects in the Sharp County Community. Time was spent in Tri County Recycling, Cherokee Village Animal Control, Sharp County Courthouse and Hopewell Cemetery under the supervision of Coordinator Brian Watson.

The program was designed to allow inmates to pay off fines and serve the communities of Sharp County.

Suit Up for the Heroes for Hope 5K & Kids’ Fun Run in Cave City

CAVE CITY, AR — Local runners, families, and community supporters are invited to dress up in their favorite superhero attire for the Heroes for Hope 5K & Kids’ Fun Run at Cave City Park on October 10. Co-hosted by The CALL in Sharp & Independence Counties and the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation, this family-friendly event brings the community together to raise vital support for local children, families, and public servants.

Proceeds from the event directly fund efforts to support children in foster care, assist families in need, and advance local law enforcement public service missions across both Sharp and Independence Counties.

Event Schedule & Highlights

Hosts: The CALL in Sharp & Independence Counties and the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation

Date/Location: October 10 at Cave City Park (Start & Finish Line)

On-Site Registration: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM

5K Run/Walk: Begins at 9:00 AM

Free Kids’ Fun Run: Begins at 9:10 AM

Finisher Medals: For all official race participants.

Touch-a-Truck Area: A local fire truck, ambulance, and police car will be on-site for children to explore and meet local first responders!

Costumes: Superhero attire is highly encouraged for participants of all ages.



Registration & Sponsorships

The entry fee for the 5K Run/Walk is $30. Participants must register by September 10, 2026, to guarantee an official event t-shirt. On-site registration will also be open the morning of the race from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

Event organizers are currently seeking local business and community sponsors to support the run and its recipient causes.

We have received information of another scam being perpetrated in our community.
An individual is calling people and identifying himself as a Deputy with the Sharp County Sheriff's Office, claiming that the individual called has missed Jury Duty and that they now have a warrant for their arrest. He then informs them that they can pay a certain amount of money to him and the warrant will be dismissed.
Please do not fall for this scam!!
The Sharp County Sheriff's Office, or any law enforcement agency for that matter, does not operate that way and we would never call and ask for a person to pay money to have a warrant dismissed.
Anyone that has received one of these calls and actually paid money to the caller, should contact their local law enforcement agency where they live and file a report.

Sharp County E-911 is accepting applications for a part-time position (with the potential to go full-time) and looking for someone meeting the following criteria:

**Looking for someone who is flexible to cover day shifts and night shifts when needed.**

18+ years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Arkansas Driver’s License
Pass a background check
Pass a drug screening
Available to work any shift (including night shifts and holidays)
Must be able to multitask
Must be able to type efficiently

This part-time position is PRN. Job roles include answering emergency and nonemergency calls, dispatching appropriate personnel, maintaining records, clerical duties. Call volumes vary, but periods of high call volume are expected.

Applications can be picked up and turned into the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office Monday-Friday 8-4.
