Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission

Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission Mount Ascutney Regional Commission (MARC) is a compact of ten municipalities in southeastern Vermont, founded in the late 1960s.

Formerly the Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission (SWCRPC), the Mount Ascutney Regional Commission (MARC), assists our local towns in their planning and development projects. The ten member towns are Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Ludlow, Reading, Springfield, Weathersfield, West Windsor, and Windsor. The Region is bordered by the Connecticut River on the east, Windham County on the south, and Rutland County on the west.

Vermont's two Amtrak services will resume on 7/19! To celebrate the return, there will be events at select train stations. At the Windsor-Mt Ascutney station, events start around 11:15 and include a photo exhibit and brunch ahead of the train's arrival by noon. You may also purchase $1 fares for travel within Vermont with free shuttle service back to some stations. Do you or someone you know need help paying for childcare?

The Working Communities Challenge has a dedicated Childcare Fund at the Springfield Area Parent Child Center.

To be eligible families must live in the WCC region, have one parent working or seeking employment, and have utilized all other forms of support available.

This stipend is open to all families! There is no income requirement to qualify.
