Today, we served up a special Juneteenth lunch featuring fried chicken, creamy mac 'n cheese, and collard greens — a delicious meal shared with our Center Community in celebration and fellowship.

The Center honors Juneteenth, a day that recognizes freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together, share a meal, reflect on our history, and celebrate the strength and richness of our community.

Pride is about showing up for one another, and The Center was proud to support our neighbors in Long Branch during the city’s Pride Flag Raising ceremony.

We were honored to be invited to stand together in celebration of love, acceptance, and community. Joining us were our valued partners, Monmouth Family Health Center and Prevention Resource Network (PRN), as we continue our shared commitment to supporting and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community.

Together, we celebrate Pride not just this month, but every day through compassion, connection, and advocacy.

Last week marked an exciting milestone for The Center Creates Art Program and, we hope, the beginning of more exhibition opportunities to come.

Four artists from The Center Creates Art Program had the honor of exhibiting their work in the Human Threads Exhibition at the Caroline Huber Wellness Center at Brookdale Community College in partnership with Monmouth Arts. For many artists, having work selected for a public exhibition is a milestone. For our artists, it was a moment of pride and recognition for the creativity that inspires them.

We are incredibly proud of their achievement and grateful to everyone who supports The Center Creates Art Program especially Monmouth Arts. Opportunities like this remind us that creativity can build confidence and open doors to new possibilities.

A Perfect Pride Day!
