Repost from

Becoming a Marine Officer is not an easy task. Below is the story of one Marine who turned her fitness around to earn the title United States Marine.

After almost two years in the Syracuse applicant pool, our PTAD Lieutenant, 2nd Lt Shellman, went from not being able to do a single pull-up and being unable to finish 3 miles, to consistently running 280+ PFTs. She is now also a certified personal trainer helping our applicants reach their PT and nutrition goals

Why are we mentioning all this? Well despite what you may think, you do not need to be the most physically fit to come in and talk to us. You just need to have GOALS that you want to accomplish and a PLAN to do so. We will help you along the way as long as you’re willing to put in the work💯🏋️‍♀️🏃‍♂️
All of our Marines have different backgrounds and life experiences, we are looking for the Marine Corps mindset—motivated individuals with a dedicated work ethic and the desire to lead from the front. Do you want to become a Marine Officer? Go to for more information.
