Foothills Marine Corps League Detachment 469 MARINES and FMF CORPSMAN - come join us! We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1800 at the Arvada Amerucan Legion 60th/Jay St

With a membership drawn from across metro Denver and the Front Range, the Foothills Detachment offers a place for Marines, FMF Corpsmen, their families and other friends of the Corps to come together for friendship and service to our Corps and community. Some of our activities include supporting and helping maintain the Marine Corps Memorial in Golden, Colorado, sponsoring the Young Marine Program

, helping support Marines deployed around the world and working on the annual Toys For Tots collection.

Foothills Detachment and Troop 564 supported the Marine Memorial for the President’s Birthday Challenge this weekend. Setting up the flags and other equipment for the event. The wind kept all the flags on full display while the President celebrated here 77th Birthday by reading the names of service members honored by the Memorial’s brick program.

Foothills Detachment supported the Veterans Day ceremony at the Marine Memorial on Saturday with help from Scouts Troop 564 and Foothills Young Marines. Chilly and damp but at least the sun was out.

Especially thankful to Keith Sorci and his JeffCo team for shoveling both Friday and Saturday morning.

new Eagle Scouts from Troop 686 in Littleton.
Marines David Bernard and Ron Nelson awarded the League’s Good Citizen Award to Connor and Liam for reaching Eagle. Congratulations!
