During National Police Week in Washington, D.C., law enforcement officers from across the country gather to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

This week, members of the Arroyo Grande Police Department Honor Guard traveled to Washington, D.C. to stand alongside agencies nationwide in remembrance and tribute to our fallen heroes. Their presence represents our department, our community, and our continued commitment to never forget those who gave their lives in service to others.

We are proud to have our Honor Guard pay tribute on behalf of the Arroyo Grande Police Department and to honor the legacy, sacrifice, and dedication of those who served with courage and distinction.

We have officially started up our K-9 Unit!

K-9 or should we say T-9 Vinny has gone through various trainings over the last couple months to prepare for her new role at the police department.

She is skilled in situational awareness, de-escalation, and pursuit endurance. As Vinny says, “slow and steady wins the race!”
We are confident Lieutenant Vinny will be a valued addiction to our team and we look forward to her continued service to the community! 🚓🐢

Pretty sure it’s safe to say that AGPD loves baseball season and we are so excited for AG Little Leagues 65th season. The Honor Guard team had the privilege of presenting the colors at today’s opening ceremonies. Special thank you to all the volunteers donating their time to coach, mentor, and support these young athletes.
