Arlington’s Office of Communication was honored with six statewide awards at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers Conference on June 4 in Austin. Today we celebrate and recognize the importance of Juneteenth, the day when the last enslaved populations in the U.S. learned they were free on June 19, 1865, in Galveston, TX.
