May Non-Profit of the Month

This month, we are thrilled to highlight HOME: Helping Our Miniature Equines - a compassionate local non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating miniature horses and donkeys who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned.

At HOME, each animal receives the medical care, training, and socialization they need to become healthy, confident, and ready for adoption into loving forever homes. Their journey from rescue to recovery is truly inspiring - and made possible by the dedication of this incredible organization.

HOME also believes that everyone deserves a moment of joy, especially those who may be experiencing isolation or loneliness. Through their heartwarming HOME cares program, miniature horses visit assisted living and memory care facilities, bringing smiles, comfort and connection to seniors. Just one visit from a miniature horse can bring a smile, spark memories, and create a moment of pure happiness.

We’re proud to support HOME and their meaningful work this month. If you’d like to learn more, sponsor an equine, or get involved, visit:

December Non-Profit of the Month

Let’s join together to support Kids Kloset and Tiny Tots for the youth of the community. We all want to see our local youth thrive, and sometimes there is an opportunity for the community to step up and help that happen! Kids Kloset is tackling the need for clothing and basic hygiene products that so many children in our community need. Last year they provided over 1,100 students school wardrobes in the Arlington, Darlington, Granite Falls and Lakewood School Districts. The Tiny Tots division provides assistance to our youngest citizens through gifts of diapers, wipes, clothing, toys, and books and maternity wear for the Mama-to-be.

This is a reminder for the upcoming weekend!

All DOL offices will be closed Friday, February 14th through Monday, February 17th for a system update. Additionally, our online services will be unavailable from Monday, February 10th - Monday, February 17th.

On Tuesday, February 18th we will resume our normal business hours to help you with your licensing needs!

We are encouraging all of our customers to plan ahead and visit our office prior to this closure. This closure will affect all of Washington State and wait times may be longer during the days leading up to and following the closure. We also recognize that system updates do not always go smoothly, and the processing of transactions may take longer as we learn how to work around any system issues.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this will be a new adjustment for our staff. However, we look forward to answering your questions and assisting you up to, and after the temporary closure.
