🎉 Celebrating 60 Years of “Can Do” Excellence! 🐝⚓
Yesterday marked a historic milestone, the 60th Anniversary of the Naval Support Unit, State Department!
On April 21, 1966, the Secretary of the Navy officially established NSU, launching a legacy of innovation, resilience, and unwavering dedication that continues to shape our mission today.
Born during one of the most demanding periods in our nation’s history, the Vietnam War, NSU was created through ingenuity and partnership. With Seabees already operating at high demand worldwide, a groundbreaking agreement ensured continued support to the Department of State without compromising global operations. That solution laid the foundation for what NSU represents today.
For six decades, NSU Seabees have proudly embodied the “Can Do” spirit:
🔧 Building and maintaining critical infrastructure
🌍 Supporting embassies and consulates worldwide
⚡ Responding rapidly in times of crisis
🤝 Bridging military excellence with diplomatic mission success
This legacy wasn’t built overnight; it was built by YOU. Every project completed, every challenge overcome, and every mission supported continues to carry this proud tradition forward.
As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we honor the past, take pride in the present, and look ahead to the future we’re building together.
🎂 Happy 60th Birthday, NSU Seabees!
Here’s to the next chapter of excellence.
