FDRSTC SEPTEMBER MEETING TOMORROW

The Frederick Douglass Republicans of Tarrant County will gather tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15, for our September meeting.

After our August summer recess, we are looking forward to coming back together for an evening of fellowship, organizational updates, committee reports, and continued work as we head into a busy fall season.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape it.

We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, members of our Armed Forces, and everyday Americans whose courage revealed the very best of our nation in one of its darkest hours.

And today, we pray.

We pray for the families who still carry the grief of that day. We pray for the first responders and survivors who continue to live with its physical and emotional scars. We pray for the men and women who have served our country in the years since. And we pray that God will continue to watch over the United States of America.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18

September 11 reminds us that freedom is precious, service matters, courage has a cost, and unity is one of America’s greatest strengths.

In the days that followed, Americans stood shoulder to shoulder. We prayed together. We mourned together. We raised our flag together. We turned to our churches, our families, our neighbors, and to God for strength. And we reminded the world that although our nation could be wounded, the American spirit would not be broken.

May we never lose that spirit.

May we continue to honor those we lost not only with remembrance, but with faith, gratitude, patriotism, service, and a renewed commitment to love our neighbors and protect the freedoms we have been blessed to inherit.

May God comfort those who mourn.

May God bless those who serve.

May God protect our first responders and our Armed Forces.

And may God continue to bless the United States of America.

We remember.

We honor.

We pray.

We will never forget.

One year ago today, we lost Charlie Kirk.

September 10, 2025 became a day that Americans across this country will never forget.

Charlie was a husband, a father, a man of faith, and one of the most influential conservative voices of his generation. He dedicated his life to engaging young Americans, defending his beliefs, challenging conventional thinking, and encouraging a generation to become involved in the future of their country.

You did not have to agree with Charlie Kirk on every issue to understand something fundamental: no American should lose his life because of his political beliefs.

In a nation founded upon freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the right of citizens to openly debate ideas, political violence can never be accepted as the answer to disagreement.

Charlie understood the importance of showing up. He went onto college campuses. He sat across from people who strongly disagreed with him. He invited questions. He debated. He taught young conservatives that their voices belonged in the public square too.

And one year later, the movement he helped build continues.

Today, we remember the voice that was silenced, the family who continues to carry his absence, and the millions of people who were impacted by his work.

May we honor Charlie Kirk’s memory not simply by remembering how he died, but by remembering how boldly he lived.

By speaking.

By participating.

By defending our convictions.

By refusing to surrender the freedoms that allow Americans to disagree with one another in the first place.

May God continue to comfort his family, strengthen those carrying his work forward, and protect this nation from the hatred and political violence that took him from this world far too soon.

One year later, Charlie Kirk is remembered.

His voice mattered.

His life mattered.

And his legacy continues.

PUBLIC NOTICE: TARRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT MEETS TOMORROW

The Frederick Douglass Republicans of Tarrant County are sharing an official statement submitted to the Tarrant County Commissioners Court by our President, Chaplain Rich Stoglin, regarding voting locations in Tarrant County.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Commissioners Court will consider voting locations for the November 3 General Election, including Election Day polling places and early voting locations.

The discussion includes voter access, polling location usage, taxpayer resources, accessibility, proximity to alternative voting sites, and claims that polling location changes could disproportionately affect certain communities.

In his letter to County Judge Tim O’Hare and the Commissioners Court, Chaplain Stoglin challenges the characterization of these changes as voter suppression and encourages citizens and elected officials to examine the facts, evidence, participation numbers, costs, accessibility, and practical considerations involved.

Chaplain Stoglin also reflects on his Civil Rights era experiences and his work with leaders including Rev. Dr. Joseph Lowry, C. T. Vivian, and Rev. Fred D. Taylor. His message calls for informed citizenship, responsible leadership, constructive advocacy, and lasting solutions.

🚔 FORT WORTH CRACKS DOWN ON SPEEDING

Public safety begins with enforcing the law and protecting the people who call our community home.

The City of Fort Worth has launched a 90 day public safety initiative with increased overnight patrols on Loop 820 and Interstate 30 to help reduce excessive speeding during the hours when dangerous driving is most common.

The Frederick Douglass Republicans of Tarrant County join Americans across the nation in mourning the passing of United States Senator Lindsey Graham.

It is with profound sadness that we extend our deepest condolences to Senator Graham's family, friends, colleagues, and the people of South Carolina during this difficult time.

Born in Central, South Carolina, on July 9, 1955, Senator Graham devoted his life to serving his country. His distinguished career included service as a United States Air Force Judge Advocate, ultimately retiring as a Colonel after more than three decades of military service in both active duty and the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. He went on to serve the people of South Carolina in the United States House of Representatives before serving in the United States Senate from 2003 until his passing on July 11, 2026.

As we yield to God's sovereign will, we pause to honor a lifetime of unwavering service to our nation. Throughout his career, Senator Graham demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the Constitution, public service, and the people he was elected to represent. His contributions to our Republic and his dedication to the American people will be remembered with gratitude for generations to come.

We ask our members, friends, and fellow Americans to join us in praying for his loved ones and for our nation as we reflect upon his life, his legacy, and the enduring example of service he leaves behind.

May God grant comfort to all who mourn, wisdom to those who continue to lead, and peace to our nation during this time of remembrance.
