The Commission and ACCSP look forward to engaging as partners in NOAA’s Recreational Angler Partnership Improvement Directive (RAPID) enterprise. The goal of which is to transition the Marine Recreational Information Program (MRIP) to a new co-designed data collection partnership among the states, interstate commissions, regional councils, and NOAA.

Over the next year, partners will work together to develop a framework to modernize and innovate recreational fisheries data collection through adaptable and transparent data collection processes. This framework will be a direct outcome of the partner-engaged workshops over the next several months.

Stay tuned for more information on regional workshops and how to get involved.
