📍Reporting live from today!

PSO Executive Director Chase Eskelsen is taking the stage to talk about a crisis most people don’t know exists.

Over 500,000 public school students across the US are being denied school lunch benefits they qualify for — simply because they learn online.

These kids are public school students. They meet the eligibility requirements. But because they’ve chosen virtual learning, they’re left without the support every other qualifying student receives. That’s not right. 💬

🎤 At DLAC? Stop by and hear Chase’s talk in person.

📺 Can’t make it? Head to our YouTube to watch our recent webinar on this issue and see the legislative progress we’ve made to get virtual students the access they deserve.

Every student deserves to be fed NO MATTER where they learn. 💛

Namine Eiche was born with a serious heart condition. By age five, she already had three heart surgeries under her belt.

School should have been the easy part. It wasn't. She was bullied, misunderstood by her teachers, and she was sick constantly.

"Schools are germ factories," her mom, Jessica, said. "She got really sick, a lot."

So the Eiches tried something new: a tuition-free virtual public school in Wisconsin. The flexibility allowed them to operate on a four-day learning schedule, which gave Namine room to manage her medical needs. Within two months, her teachers said she was ready for the next grade.

"Virtual school saw her as a person, not a wheelchair."

This June, Namine graduated with high honors.

Next up? She wants to be an author. But the sky is the limit.

📍 Spotted: Team PSO on the ground last week in Louisiana!

We joined an incredible back to school event, meeting parents, administrators, and students who are choosing the learning path that works best for them.

Every conversation reminded us why this work matters.
Every story reinforced what we already know: parents deserve options, and kids deserve environments where they can thrive.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their experiences, and let us be part of your journey. We're honored to stand alongside you in the fight for education freedom.

This one is for the parents who felt they had no choice but to stand up and fight. To be the advocate their child deserved. To spend long days and nights researching different schools, becoming IEP experts, and stepping out of their comfort zone to be the the type of learning coach their child can rely on.

Listen up, Texas Parents.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) wants to rewrite the rules for virtual school eligibility.

The law is clear: if a child attends a Texas public school for six weeks, they qualify for full-time virtual school. Full stop.

TEA's proposed rule adds two conditions the Legislature never wrote. Those six weeks would only count if they generated funding for the district, and summer school wouldn't count at all.

Read that again. A kid could attend a Texas public school for six weeks and still lose eligibility over a funding technicality that has nothing to do with whether they actually showed up.

We're asking TEA to follow the law the Legislature passed: count six weeks of documented attendance, no funding requirement attached, and count summer school the way it always has.

Texas parents, we need your voice on this one. It takes two minutes to add your name to our coalition letter to TEA.

📢 New op-ed alert!

Nearly 1 million students attend full-time virtual public schools nationwide — and at least 500,000 of them qualify for free or reduced-price meals but are denied access simply because their school doesn't have a cafeteria.

That's the outdated policy our Executive Director, Chase Eskelsen, is tackling in a new op-ed for the Washington Examiner, co-authored with John Watson of DLAC.

Read why this decades-old rule needs to catch up to how families are actually choosing to educate their kids today.

Arkansas' Education Freedom Account program grew rapidly, serving tens of thousands of students. When the state auditor reviewed the program, they found that 99.94% of spending was clean.

The .06% of errors were paperwork mishaps. Not fraud or waste.

This is what happens when programs are run with integrity and oversight.

Families get .
Taxpayers get transparency.
Students get opportunity.
