Honoring the Life of CPL Hall

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of CPL Collin Hall. CPL Hall was more than just a Soldier, he was a brother-in-arms, a friend, and a vital part of 822. His dedication, strength, and camaraderie left a lasting impact on everyone who had the honor of serving alongside him.

During this difficult time, let’s come together to remember and celebrate his life. If you have photos, stories, or memories of CPL Hall, please share them in the comments. Let’s honor his legacy by keeping his spirit alive through the moments we shared with him. We will honor his memory together.

Please keep his family/close friends in your thoughts and prayers. Also, take care of yourselves and look out for one another. Grief affects everyone differently, and whatever you’re feeling is valid.

CPL Hall, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten 💚.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that a 822 alumni has passed away unexpectedly. If you are able to attend please do. If you are able to attend in uniform that would be even better. Thank you.

This weekend, the Peacemakers trained on Detainee Inprocessing as well as Forced Cell Extractions. They did a culminating event for both training where they inprocessed a detainee who eventually became non-compliant so the FCE team was activated. Great training for the unit!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Soldiers and families of the 822. Hopefully you have a day filled with food, football, and family.

This time of year can be difficult for some, especially after the loss of a loved one. Remember you are not alone. The Commander and the 1SG are available 24/7. You can also reach out to Army one source and the Su***de hotline at 988.

During September's Battle Assembly the Peacemakers took time to remember the 2,977 lives that were lost on 9/11. For most 9/11 is a story and for less it is a memory of a tragic day.

The following questions were asked of the unit:

Who was alive when 9/11 happened?
Approx. 40% of the company

Who remembers watching and witnessing what happened on 9/11?
Approx. 25% of the company.

Who was serving in the Armed Forces when 9/11 happened? Two NCOs

Who was apart of the invasion of Iraq?
One NCO

9/11 for most will be just a story and not a memory. This must be the feeling our grandparents had when reading about Pearl Harbor in a history book.

We will not forget nor will we allow our fellow brothers and sisters to forget that day.

Some hard facts from that day:

2977 people lost their lives.
115 nations lost a native soul.
1,609 spouses become widows/widowers.
3051 children lost a parent.
343 Fire fighters
60 Law Enforcement officers
And of those lost, approximately 1700 families said their goodbyes to a memory as they weren't able to be presented with confirmed remains of their loved ones.

That's what our ruck meant to us today. It's not about politics, motives, the war, or pointing fingers placing blame. It's about the families that have endured 21 years of loss. The lives lost long before their time. Our short ruck was nothing compared to their loss, and our thoughts are with you always.
