I love all the caring in this community ..
We have posted on several pages ..
Trying to keep everyone updated and reaching more people if needed ..
Cowley County House of Hope and Angels in the Attic Outreach center and many churches and organizations have been reaching and connecting with our homeless and our families that live without heat to get them in place before the storm hits.
If you want to help reach out to these places see what they need.
Support and kindness goes along way ..
Thank you to everyone who has put in time trying to help those in need..
Stay safe and stay warm ..
God Bless

The Angel’s in the Attic Back to School / New Coat Drive helps families in need get the school supplies and new coats for their children to start the new school year off right.
The 2019 - 2020 Back to School/ New Coat program provided 183 children backpacks and school supplies to start the new year off. We were also able to provide 149 new coats, hats , scarfs, and gloves. We partner with local clubs, businesses, churches, organizations and individuals in our communities to provide these items.
With the closing of public schools due to Covid -19 virus we were able to help families get school supplies for the continued education program.
For the families that did not have electronic devices for their children to do homework on we were able to help with desktop tablets bought through a Good360 program.
The Arkansas City Walmart , USD 470, the local chapter of Kiwanis, and Mid America Credit Union held a Stuff The Bus event in July at the Arkansas City Walmart. Prizes from local businesses are put up for drawing. For every $5 in cash or school supplies that the individual donate they can submit an entry. One of the prizes given away was $350 pkg. donated by the 7 Clans Casino.
The New Coats and accessories are provided from a grant that is received from the Power of the Purse through the Legacy Community Foundation.
Th2 2020-2021 school sign up will be done additionally online because of the Covid-19 virus.
This is truly a program that is supported by our community. Every year the number of children increases and every year this county responds.
