We are a small 100% volunteer fire company in the Anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania. We have 4 pieces of apparatus in service: Rescue/Engine 352 (1997 Pierce), Pumper/Tanker 353 (2007 KME), Squad 351 (1999 Ford) and a Kubota RTV900 with trailer. The coverage area is a little over 34 square miles and encompasses parts of 2 townships (Conyngham and Roaring Creek). We are dual dispatched to call
s throughout the remainder of Conyngham Twp and Centralia Borough for emergent responses. 1st and 2nd alarm response area goes into 3 counties (Columbia, Northumberland, Schuylkill) including multiple municipalities covering well over 250 square miles. These mutual aid responses take our volunteers into the communities of Conyngham, Locust, Cleveland, Roaring Creek, Union, East Union, Mt Carmel and Butler townships along with Centralia, Ringtown, Mt Carmel and Ashland Boroughs. Services we provide include: structural fire, wildfire(brush fire), hazardous materials, vehicle rescue, some ropes, confined space, trench and collapse capabilities as well as a Pennsylvania Department of Health Quick Response Service (QRS) license. This license recognizes us as a responder for medical and traumatic events within our coverage area. Speaking of emergencies, we are dispatched by the Columbia County Communication Center (CCCC) on a frequency of 156.015. This can also be found online through Broadcastify or on your smart phone by downloading the app for Scanner Radio and then searching Columbia County.PA. If you are interested in helping us and volunteering while giving something back to the community, contact us. We are always searching for new members to help with emergency responses, fund raising, building maintenance and much more. Our fundraising efforts include a monthly breakfast, ticket sales, dinners, 2 gun nights a year, a fund drive and much more. Again if you are interested let us know and we hope to see you all at our fund raisers. We would much rather see you there, then to have to bring our apparatus to your house for an emergency. If you need us to come to your house, remember the number to call is 911. Do not call the station number listed below. Thank you all and be safe...
