Our first world, communist fan club didn't show up last night in Weatherford but Oklahoma Republicans did.

Thank you to Custer County GOP Chairman, Benjamin Vestrum, Jonathan Wallace, and their families for hosting Carter County Republican Chairman, Mr. Jean Gamarra, and inviting him to speak about the disastrous socialist policies and homicidal ideology of communism that impacted his childhood, and changed his family's lives in unimaginable ways.

A quarter of a century has passed since September 11, 2001, when the peace of our Nation was shattered by terrorists.

Today, we remember the 2,977 precious lives taken from us, honor the heroes who answered the call, & keep their families in the heart of our Nation.

Above all, we must ensure the memory of 9/11 never fades, but is carried from one generation of Americans to the next.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

In his speech, “Exposing the Darkness of Communism,” Jean Gamarra, a Peruvian-American engineer and Chairman of the Carter County Republican Party, delivers a compelling warning about the dangers of communism, drawing from his experiences in Peru and historical parallels in Oklahoma. Gamarra recounts the devastating impact of socialism and Maoist terrorism in Peru during the 1980s and 1990s, highlighting hyperinflation, violence, and the Shining Path’s reign of terror, which forced his grandparents to flee their village.
He connects these events to modern communist tactics in the U.S., including Oklahoma’s early 20th-century agrarian socialism, the 1917 Green Corn Rebellion, and the state’s subsequent efforts to outlaw the Communist Party in 1955. Gamarra warns of the growing influence of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) in Oklahoma, noting their endorsement of progressive candidates and protests, with national membership surging from 6,000 in 2015 to over 90,000 by 2021.
Citing Ephesians 5:11, he calls for resolute action, local governance, and reclaiming the narrative to combat these ideologies, urging Oklahomans to protect their communities and preserve the republic.

Come join us in Western Oklahoma later this week where Carter County GOP Chairman, Jean Gamarra, will be a guest speaker at the Custer County GOP's monthly meeting. Mr. Gamarra will share his experience growing up under disastrous socialist policies, communist terrorism, and his warning for Oklahoma and America about the real and present dangers of communist ideology and socialist movements today.
