🚒 Meet Winner #5 of the Ricochet National Non-PFAS Gear Giveaway: Dickson Fire Department, Dickson Oklahoma

Serving the Dickson, Oklahoma community, Dickson VFD is one of six departments nationwide receiving five sets of Ricochet non-PFAS structural turnout gear.

Chief Clarence Perryman highlighted an important benefit of the award: with five sets provided through the giveaway, Dickson can direct more of its own resources toward additional gear for the department’s firefighters.

That gives these five sets an impact beyond the firefighters who will wear them. They also create an opportunity for Dickson to continue investing in protection across its crew.

Congratulations to Chief Perryman and the entire Dickson Volunteer Fire Department. We’re proud to support the department alongside local Ricochet dealer Myder Fire Support Services and Ricochet representative Shane George - Ricochet Gear.

Please avoid all outdoor burning and be mindful of outdoor activities that might spark a wildfire! With hot and dry conditions persisting along with intensifying drought conditions, wildland fuels have become more receptive to ignition. Please do your part to prevent wildfires.

Healdton is DRY, DRY, DRY right now and conditions are not safe for burning.

Please DO NOT burn brush, trash, leaves, fields or anything else right now.

Try to refrain from welding.
Make sure your chains are secured on trailers.
Make sure you check your yards for anything that may cause a spark if hit with a mower.

One small spark can quickly turn into a wildfire, putting homes, property, livestock, firefighters and our entire community at risk.

Please don’t take the chance.
If you’re thinking about burning it, wait until conditions improve.

Grass fire danger will be on the increase for the next couple weeks if the weather forecast holds true. We are getting to the point where conditions will make starting an accidental fire very easy. If you need to burn, take precautions to keep it from spreading, have a way to extinguish the fire with you and stay with the burn. If you are working outside keep a water source or other tools to extinguish the fire close by.
