Yesterday, our President and CEO Dawn Simonson participated in a roundtable discussion with healthcare leaders, providers and patients about the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Dawn shared how the legislation could shift the cost and responsibility of caring for older adults:

"When federal Medicaid funding declines, Minnesota faces harder budget choices. And when services at home aren’t available, families become the backstop. The need doesn’t disappear simply because the funding does."

Do you use Medical Assistance? Are you a family member or caregiver of someone who does?

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking members for its new Beneficiary Advisory Council, a group that will help shape the future of Medical Assistance by sharing real-life experiences and feedback.

Members will help ensure that the voices of people who rely on these services are heard by decision-makers. You do not need to be a policy expert to participate. DHS is looking for people with lived experience.

Speak up! Your voice can help Minnesota create and expand legal services that serve older adults.

The Legal Needs Survey of Older Minnesotans is an effort to better understand the legal needs of Minnesotans aged 60 and older and those who provide care to them, so the state can improve access to legal help, address barriers and expand services.

The survey is open to Minnesotans age 60+ as well as anyone supporting adults age 60+. The survey will remain open through August 31. Take the survey today!
