The Arcadia Police Department participated at the Hamilton Heights public safety event.

Officer Neal Hoard and his K9 partner Maudie talked with the students about what a search K9 does. Maudie enjoyed all the attention!!

K9s are a great tool for law enforcement duties. Our own K9 Maudie helps other agencies across the state when they need her assistance in tracking a person that is lost and needs to be found in a timely matter!

Officer Neal Hoard recently attended Virginia Bloodhound Search and Rescue’s May seminar where he instructed and received an award for 25 years of service to the organization. Pictured with him L-R are vice president Patrick Sheridan, Officer Hoard, service award winner AJ Jackson and President Terry Davis.

On 04/10/2025 Deputys with the Tipton County Sheriff's Office attempted to serve a warrant on a subject in Atlanta. During a search of the residence Deputys located a Marijuna grow operation. Arcadia Police Department was called to the scene and took over the investigation. 4 Ma*****na plants along with growing equipment were seized. Investigation is on going at this time.

It takes a village to raise a child. Today I had a wonderful opportunity to partner with MaryAnn Haymaker and Hamilton Heights Youth assistance. I would not be who I am today if I did not have help and community support. I was able to provide a pair of new shoes to a young man. Hamilton Heights Youth assistance and the Youth Assistance Program across Hamilton County is always doing something great for our youth in Hamilton County and I will always do what I can to support Youth Assistance. The greatest investment a person can make is in our youth. Thank you MaryAnn you can always count on the Arcadia Police Department for whatever you may need.
