It's coming up! All the Branches of the Bienville Parish Library will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of LABOR DAY! We'll reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.
NOTE: The Castor and Gibsland Branches will reopen Wednesday, September 9.

YAY! The Bienville Parish Library System has published in the American Library Association's Programming Librarian! 😁🤩🥳 The Summer Reading Program's Curious Kids Club was a really a great program! 😁🤩🥳We hope other Library systems find this information useful!

People use the phrase to describe days that feel too hot and lazy to do much work. It evokes the image of people and pets resting in the shade to stay cool. 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵NATIONAL CRAYON DAY! 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵 Did you know crayons don’t decompose? Yet in the hands of young, creative minds, they foster visual learning, creativity, and academic achievement. More than 150 million restaurant crayons end up in landfills each year. Collecting and redistributing these crayons can help put art supplies back into classrooms while saving teachers some of the nearly $900 they spend out of pocket each year preparing their classrooms.
