Thanks to everyone who participated in the Christmas in July Golf Tournament, Chris Monaco with Fat Chris Productions presented Marshal Quinn Jones and Lt. Troy Carrillo with a generous donation benefiting our Shop with a Cop program.

This donation will help make Christmas a little brighter and more special for children in our community. ❤️💙

🚨 DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER 🚨

The Arcadia Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies nationwide for the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over high-visibility enforcement campaign, running August 19 through September 7, 2026.

During this campaign, officers will be increasing patrols and taking proactive measures to keep impaired drivers off our roads throughout the Labor Day travel period.

If you’ve been drinking or using drugs, don’t drive. Make the responsible choice—find a sober ride and get home safely.

🎉 Congratulations, Detective Larry Workman! 🎉

Today, the Arcadia Police Department proudly recognizes Detective Larry Workman on five years of dedicated service to our department and our community!

From the very beginning, Detective Workman has shown the hard work, dedication, and commitment it takes to serve others. Over the years, his role has continued to grow. He is now one of our General Instructors, helping provide critical training to our officers, including TASER and fi****ms training.

Detective Workman is also a valued member of our Criminal Investigation Division, where his diligent investigative work continues to make a difference in the cases we handle and the safety of our community.

Larry, we appreciate everything you do for the Arcadia Police Department and the citizens we serve. Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, and we are proud to have you as part of our team.

🚔📚 BACK TO SCHOOL: PARENT PICK-UP 101 🍎✏️

The first day of school is almost here, and we’re excited to welcome students back for the 2026-2027 school year!

To help keep our school zones safe and traffic flowing smoothly, please review the attached Parent Pick-Up 101 maps for West Elementary and Memorial Elementary before arriving on campus.

As you travel to and from our schools, please remember:
🚸 Follow the designated traffic patterns.
🚧 Use extra caution in and around active construction zones, and expect occasional traffic delays.
🚫 Do not block driveways or park in restricted areas.
⏰ During the first week, officers will focus on education and issue warnings. Beginning the following week, violations may result in citations.

Your patience and cooperation go a long way in helping keep our students, crossing guards, school staff, and fellow motorists safe.

🚔 Teamwork. Investigation. Accountability.

Over the past several weeks, the Arcadia Police Department and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office partnered to investigate a series of vehicle burglaries and stolen vehicles affecting our community.

The investigation led to multiple search warrants, the arrest of several juveniles, the recovery of stolen fi****ms, and the return of several stolen vehicles to their rightful owners.

This case is a reminder that crime has consequences. Regardless of age, those who choose to victimize our community will be identified, held accountable, and brought to justice.

We are proud of the teamwork between both agencies and remain committed to protecting the citizens of Arcadia.

🇺🇸🚔 History met hometown pride this week as the Arcadia Police Department welcomed the Florida Freedom Tour to our community.

Our officers were proud to display one of our patrol vehicles alongside this traveling exhibit, which is making its way across Florida to celebrate our state’s rich history and the 250th anniversary of the United States. Events like these are a great reminder that law enforcement is about more than responding to calls—we’re also committed to engaging with our community and supporting educational opportunities for residents of all ages.

We’re grateful to have been part of this statewide initiative and look forward to seeing the Florida Freedom Tour continue its journey across the Sunshine State.
