The Arcade Fire Department was formed in December 16, 1871 and was incorporated in July 1976. There are approximately 75 volunteer members, 20 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Located at 145 North Street in the Village, the Arcade Fire Department provides services to both the Village and Town of Arcade, as well as portions of the Town of Freedom. st volunteer fire departments within Wyoming County. The fire department proudly provides the primary source of fire protection and emergency medical services within the 120 square miles district. Services also include high angle rope rescue, ice/water rescue, haz-mat response, search and rescue, and fire protection education for the community and area youth.
