FCSD #38 Johnson-O'Malley IEC The FCSD #38 JOM IEC is committed to promoting and supporting academic success for all Arapahoe School students. The JOM IEC officers call special meetings.

The officers, parents, grandparents and legal guardians of Arapahoe School students make up the JOM IEC. We have set monthly meetings, as outlined in our JOM IEC by-laws. Our monthly meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month, at 5:00 pm, at the Arapahoe School administration building. The JOM IEC follows the JOM IEC Educational Plan: Measurable Objectives & Activities. We also follow the FC

SD #38 “Strategic Plan, Standards, Goals and Actions.” We measure the educational objectives outcomes with MAP/PAWS test score results. Attendance records from PowerSchool are used to monitor/improve student attendance. Celebrations for academic success demonstrate student academic achievements. Documentation of parent contacts through sign n sheets, messages sent through flyers/social media and other outlets along with minutes from JOM IEC meetings demonstrate the parent participation. Parent surveys are also used to determine the needs and expectations of the JOM IEC. Continual evaluation of the professional development and training opportunities and programs are used to ensure effectiveness. Hohou.

JOM-IEC Parent Committee is sponsoring a virtual contest for all students Pre-k through high school that attend Arapahoe School. In celebration of Native American Heritage and in honor of Veteran's Day we invite all students to participate in the virtual contest. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded. Submit entries to the FCSD #38 Johnson-O'Malley IEC PAGE. Students are invited to upload a video or picture of the student with first name and grade. Student can enter the contest by dancing, singing, reciting the pledge in Arapaho, speaking native language, a native art or craft that the student completed and or a drawing of a former Chief of the Arapaho Tribe. When submitting your entry please include a thank you to all Veterans.

Arapahoe Schools JOM-IEC Trunk or Treat was a success. We had 22 cars participate. We missed a few cars and didn't their picture darn it!!
