🍪🐭 If You Give Mrs. Mann’s Class a Cookie… 🐭🍪

They wrapped up their fun-filled week of reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie in the sweetest way possible—by making their very own cookies! ❤️

They worked hard to follow a step-by-step recipe, practicing important skills like following directions, measuring, taking turns, and working together. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🍪

And of course, they couldn’t keep all that deliciousness to themselves! Our little bakers even shared some of their homemade cookies with a few of our wonderful Arabi staff members! 💚🐊

It was the perfect way to bring our story to life and end the week with lots of learning, teamwork, and a little something sweet! 📚✨🍪

Because if you give Mrs. Mann’s class a cookie… they’ll probably want to bake another batch! 🐭

Today our Chalmette High football and volleyball players greeted our Alligators at morning arrival. Our kids enjoyed giving high fives and talking to the players about their futures. 📣 Calling all 3rd–5th graders! Join K-Kids! 💚💙

Does your child enjoy helping others, making a difference, and being involved at school? K-Kids is a Kiwanis service leadership club where students work together on service projects that benefit our school and community!

K-Kids meets once a month on a Friday from 3:00–4:00 PM. Students are responsible for arranging pickup on the side of the cafeteria.

📚🍽️ Welcome to Mrs. Svoboda’s Book Diner! 🍽️📚
This week in library our students enjoyed a Book Tasting where they sampled a variety of books and discovered some exciting stories they might want to read next! 📖✨
Just like a real diner, students browsed the “menu,” tried out different books, and explored new authors, genres, and characters. We loved watching their curiosity grow as they found books that sparked their interest!
Who knows…a few of these “tastes” may have turned into their next favorite books! ❤️📚

Our Fairytales & Tall Tales Day was full of BIG adventures! 🥞🌲 We enjoyed a pancake breakfast inspired by the legendary Paul Bunyan, played fun games that brought our favorite stories to life, and ended the day with a little Beauty and the Beast magic! 🌹🏰💛

🌟 Mrs. Mann’s class is off to an AMAZING start this school year! 🌟
Our students have been busy learning, creating, exploring, and having so much fun along the way! We read Green Eggs and Ham and then used visual recipes to make—and taste—our very own green eggs and ham! We have practiced important calendar skills, strengthened our fine and gross motor skills, conducted exciting science experiments, and tried some delicious Brown Bear, Brown Bear pudding.
To wrap up our lesson on the color RED, students sampled a variety of red foods and recorded which ones they loved! ❤️🍓🍎🍉
We are incredibly proud of how our students are communicating, following directions, trying new things, and building important skills through hands-on learning.
