It’s almost National Trails Day!

Tomorrow is almost here and we could not be more excited to share it with all our amazing volunteers, event sponsors, and friends of the forest.

For those of you joining at Nisene Marks State Park, we’ll have our usual coffee, pastries, and fruit to share. We’ll also have our full lineup of merchandise available to view and purchase. Bring your credit card to snag something cool! If you miss us at the park, see you at the epic afterparty, with smiles on!

Hello Amazing Campers and Volunteers,

Our Manresa Uplands State Beach Volunteer Cleanup and optional Campout is less than a week away and we are still accepting volunteer submissions.

Reminder: once you register, please confirm your registration details with Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks (you will receive an email) to help us plan for a smooth and safe camping experience!

Join Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks and The Advocates for Nisene Marks for an unforgettable camping ⛺ and volunteering experience 🙋‍♂️ at Manresa Uplands State Beach on March 28 and 29. This event brings volunteers to the state park to experience the campgrounds before it's officially open for the season. After a night of camping, volunteers will prepare the campground for the season.

This ✨unique experience✨ is a great way to camp at the beach and help maintain an outdoor space for the broader community. The work involves light to difficult levels of labor 💪 to prepare the campsite for the season. Groups of all levels can participate. Tools and supplies will be provided to volunteers, including snacks and water.

February, 2026 Trail Day is Officially Canceled!
The experts are forecasting a 90% chance of rain with a high wind advisory on Sunday. These sloppy and unsafe conditions don’t make for a great trail day experience, so the board has decided to cancel it.
Please know that we do not take this decision lightly, as we value the time and commitment of our volunteers and staff.
We hope that Mother Nature cooperates for our upcoming March events! Check our calendar for March 1 and other future work day opportunities: https://calendly.com/.../native-forest-restoration-day...

The experts are forecasting a 90% chance of rain with a high wind advisory on Sunday. These sloppy and unsafe conditions don't make for a great trail day experience, so the board has decided to cancel it.

Please know that we do not take this decision lightly, as we value the time and commitment of our volunteers and staff.
