𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗠 𝗗𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗣 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘
For City of Appleton residents in the area most affected by yesterday’s storm, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀, a special curbside brush collection will be provided for tree damage.

**𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀.**

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀:
We’ll announce collection dates in the coming days as crews continue clearing hazards.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀:
• Tree sections must be cut to 8 feet or shorter and no more than 12 inches in diameter.
• Smaller branches (up to 2 inches in diameter), twigs, and yard waste must be bundled or placed in lawn bags, each weighing under 45 pounds.

𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗬𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬
To assist with storm damage cleanup, both sites are open extra days this week beyond their normal schedules. Hours for both sites remain 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM during this extended period.

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 – 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴

Beginning Monday, July 20, 2026, the Department of Public Works office, located at the Municipal Services Building (2625 E. Glendale Ave.), will adjust its public office hours to 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Our City Hall location (100 N. Appleton St.) will continue to be open from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

In observance of Independence Day, our offices and the Whitman Yard Waste Site will be closed on Friday, July 3. The Glendale Yard Waste Site will be open on July 3 during normal hours but will be closed on Saturday, July 4.

Garbage and recycling collection may be affected during this holiday week. Please refer to the attached picture or visit our website for your updated collection schedule.

In observance of the holiday, our offices and Glendale Yard Waste site will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

Your garbage and recycling collection may be affected during this week’s collection. Please refer to the attached picture or by visiting our website for your collection days. Recycling collection will only affect customers in Recycling Area #2.

An illicit discharge is any substance entering the storm sewer system that isn’t just stormwater.
Examples include:
• Gas and motor oil
• Grass clippings
• Cooking or deep-frying oils
• Household cleaners
• Paints and solvents
• Pesticides and w**d killer
• Pet waste
• Carpet cleaning wash water
• Pool and hot tub water (must be dechlorinated and tested before discharge)
These pollutants can harm our waterways, as well as fish, wildlife, and native plants. If you see or suspect any of these materials entering a street gutter or storm drain, please report it.
