He's made his list and checked it twice! Santa is coming to Outagamie County! Our dispatchers relay important messages every day, but tonight will be extra special. Listen in at 7pm to hear what Santa has to say to all of the children of Outagamie County. Have a merry and bright Christmas Eve!

He knows if you’ve been bad or good so be good for goodness sake! 🎅🏼 Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa is expected to be entering Outagamie County around 7:00 pm on December 24th. 🦌 He will be on the main Outagamie County channel announcing his arrival. So gather round your scanner apps (we will also be posting the recording to this page after the radio transmissions are done) and listen to the Jolly man who will also encourage all boys and girls to head off to bed! Merry Christmas! 🎄

Hey Outagamie County! It's time to spread the love and arrest hunger! During the month of August, we are partnering with the St. Joseph Food Program and other area law enforcement agencies for the "Arresting Hunger Food Drive.” Throughout the month, we will be competing with other participating agencies to see who can collect the most food staples.

This is where you come in. Each week, we will be collecting a different staple food item. This week, Week #1, we are collecting peanut butter. You can drop off new, unopened peanut butter at our office or at St. Joe’s (make sure to tell them you’re donating on behalf of Outagamie County Sheriff). All donations go to the St. Joseph’s Food Program.

We will also accept your nutty donations at our National Night Out event which is less than a week away on August 6th at Greenville Community Park.

So round up those jars and bring them to our drop-off point at the Sheriff's Office. Let's make this the most *nutty* week yet! Every jar counts, and together we can spread smiles and full bellies across our community.

On Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 0546 hours the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a multi vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH EE and CTH S in the Town of Freedom. Officers found a vehicle traveling north bound on CTH EE failed to yield to traffic on CTH S. After pulling out onto CTH S this vehicle was struck by an eastbound semi-truck. Both vehicles then collided with a westbound pickup truck. The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.

CTH S at CTH EE will remain closed for several more hours while the investigation continues.

The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Freedom Fire Department and EMS and Gold Cross Ambulance.

Those involved will not be identified at this time pending family notifications.

As our deputies finish their reports from ANOTHER accident with injuries as a result of driving under the influence last night, we implore everyone to read and share Fox Valley Metro Police Department's message regarding the prevailing problem of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. We also understand most people reading this are making good choices keeping themselves and others safe. Please help and be the person to start the conversation about something that matters.

By now you've probably read first responders were busy throughout Outagamie County yesterday, responding to multiple crashes along Interstate 41. All of which started with a single vehicle OWI crash in the Village of Little Chute. Because of this, several families are left picking up the pieces and adjusting to their new normal just before the holidays.

But this problem goes beyond what happened on I41 on Sunday. As an agency we made five Operating While Intoxicated arrests between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon in the Village of Kimberly and Village of Little Chute. Five. And we are a smaller community and smaller police agency.

Some of this weekend's arrests were made as the result of crashes resulting in injury. Some of these arrests were for people operating under the influence of restricted or controlled substances. Some were because the driver consumed too much alcohol. But all of them should not have been driving.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving. Instead of arguing about politics or sports at the dinner table, talk about something that matters. Talk about how getting behind the wheel while under the influence of drugs or alcohol can be so expensive in legal fees, citations and tow bills. Talk about how easy it is to get a sober ride home from a friend or family member, by calling an Uber or by taking the bus. Talk about how so many lives can be ruined by thinking you're sober enough to drive and not being brave enough to do the right thing.

We know most people reading this are already making good choices and are not risking yours or other people's lives. For everyone else, we'll still be here responding when we're called making sure our roadways are safe for everyone.
