Looking back at these amazing Literary Pumpkins from previous years! 🎃📚 It’s always one of our favorite fall traditions at Westview.

Got a great book-inspired idea? Students are invited to bring your decorated book-character pumpkin to school to be featured on display now through conferences (we've already had a few entries come in!)

Who’s ready to make this year’s display the best one yet? 🏆🐾

Let’s fill the school with storybook magic! 🎨🐾

Our students and staff traded in their usual gear for navy and gold today to celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers’ historic World Series victory! Huge congrats to the champs from all of us at Westview!

Pack your bags! 🧳✈️ The ultimate Character Battle is taking over the library all week long, and we’re kicking things off with today’s big decision:

Who would you go on vacation with? 🌴🌊

🗳️Every morning students can head to the library to cast their vote. Parents, who would be your pick (feel free to share in the comments below)? Who is making the cut for your dream itinerary, and who is getting left at the airport? 👇

🌲🧭 Adventure awaits! Our Westview 4th graders had an amazing time last Friday exploring Hidden Falls Regional Park! Students put their outdoor survival skills to the test by building shelters, starting fires, and using compasses to navigate the area. 🔥🍂

It was a day full of teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning in the great outdoors! 💙🐾

Authors Night Success! 🎉

Last night, the Westview Library was buzzing with excitement for our annual Authors Night! It was incredible to see so many families come together to celebrate literacy through hands-on activities.

Highlights from the evening included:
🎨 Character Drawing: Learning step-by-step how to bring book characters to life.
📘 Book Creation: Crafting unique, custom books from scratch.
🎁 Free Book Giveaway: Every child left with a brand-new story to add to their home library!
🍨 Sweet Treats: Cool root b**r floats to round out a great night.

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and all the wonderful families who attended. Together, we're building a community of lifelong readers!

Throwing it back to an unforgettable day at Westview Elementary! 🏀✨

Before he heard his name called in the 2015 NBA Draft, Tyus Jones came back home to Westview (where he went to elementary school growing up) to visit our students and inspire the next generation. A couple months after his visit, Jones was drafted in the First Round of the NBA Draft with the 24th selection and played his first few seasons with the Timberwolves. He currently is playing for the Nuggets ( https://www.nba.com/player/1626145/tyus-jones/bio ) who start their regular season tonight... we will be cheering on the hometown hero and wish him luck!
