Phelan Parks and Recreation will present its annual “Movies in the Park” series every Friday night throughout the summer at Phelan Community Park.

The summer lineup includes “Migration” (PG) on June 12, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” (PG-13) on June 19, “The Tiger’s Apprentice” (PG) on June 26, “Free Guy” (PG-13) on July 3, “Abominable” (PG) on July 10, “Dungeons & Dragons” (PG-13) on July 17, “The Mitchells vs. The Machines” (PG) on July 24, and “Twisters” (PG-13) on July 31.

Movies will begin at dusk, and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Snacks will be available for purchase through Kiwanis and the Serrano Key Club. For more information, visit www.pphcsd.org.

Reminder! The Community Job Fair is happening now through 1 p.m. at Hesperia Junior High School!

Hesperia Junior High School is preparing to host its first-ever Community Job Fair next week, bringing together a wide range of employers and career opportunities for local residents.

The free event, organized through the Hesperia Unified School District’s “Community Schools” initiative, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Hesperia Junior High School, located at 10275 Cypress Ave.

According to Principal Phillip Padilla, the community-wide event will feature employers including the Town of Apple Valley, City of Hesperia, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, San Bernardino County Probation, Victor Valley College, Adelanto Elementary School, Excelsior Charter School, Victor Valley Global Medical, the U.S. Army & Air Force Exchange Service, and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of positions ranging from entry-level to skilled careers. Organizers encourage job seekers to bring copies of their resumes and “dress to impress.”

Registration is now open for the Millionaire Mind Kids (MMK) STEM Robotics Summer Academy, available for High Desert students ages 8–12. The weeklong academy will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from June 29 - July 3 at 15579 Eighth Street in Victorville.

Limited to 50 students, the program will feature hands-on STEAM robotics activities and STEM projects designed to inspire future engineers, creators, and problem solvers. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all participants.
