🚒 Thank You to Our Volunteers 🚒

Last year, the members of Valley Fire & Rescue gave more than 10,200 hours of their time serving this community.

That time — training, responding to calls, maintaining equipment, and supporting events — represents an estimated value of $371,446.92 back to the people we protect.

To put it into perspective, staffing just one engine with a minimum crew of four firefighters around the clock would cost approximately $1.63 million per year — a dramatic increase for our community.

What that shows is simple: This department runs because of people willing to give their time, their effort, and their commitment to something bigger than themselves.

We are proud of our volunteers and grateful for everything they do — not just the calls you see, but the hours you don’t.

Thank you for showing up.

Saturday morning! We look forward to you stopping by!

Training Tuesday 🚒

Recently, our members trained on the use of airbags for heavy lifting and stabilization during emergency scenes.

These tools allow firefighters to safely lift and stabilize heavy objects — from vehicles to structural components — when someone may be trapped or when conditions are unstable. Proper setup, placement, and coordination are critical to making sure operations are both effective and safe.

Training like this focuses on precision, communication, and trust in your team. When situations are unpredictable, preparation makes the difference.

Ongoing training ensures our volunteers are ready to handle complex incidents and serve our community when it matters most.

🚒 It takes more than a call to keep a fire department running.

Events like our off‑road ride don’t happen on their own. Neither does everything else you see — the trucks ready to respond, the equipment maintained, the station open when the community needs it.

It all comes down to people who are willing to step up and take ownership of something that matters in their community.

Around here, volunteering isn’t just about emergencies.

It’s about showing up — for calls, for events, and for the people who count on you.

Not everyone can do it. But some people are looking for something more than just watching from the outside.

If that sounds like you, we’re always open to starting the conversation.

Send us a message or stop by on a Monday night.

Did You Know? 🌩️🚒

Severe weather doesn’t always start with sirens.

Your mobile device can be one of the most important safety tools you have. Wireless Emergency Alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, and official weather sources can provide critical warnings minutes — sometimes hours — before dangerous conditions reach our area.

Those extra minutes matter. They give you time to prepare, seek shelter, and make informed decisions before storms impact southern Mason County.

We encourage everyone to:
⛈ Keep emergency alerts enabled on your phone
☃️Follow trusted weather sources
🌪Have a plan before severe weather arrives

Prepared communities are safer communities.
