There is still time to be part of something pretty incredible! Throughout September, our friends at Mullinax Ford are collecting non-perishable food for Loaves & Fishes as part of Ford’s 2026 Global Food Drive, and we would LOVE to see that truck overflowing!

Every can, every box, every bag matters. Each item placed in that truck will eventually make its way into the hands of a neighbor who needs it. ❤️

This is what community looks like. Neighbors showing up for neighbors, giving what they can, and coming together to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Grab a few extra items while you’re shopping and drop them off at the truck inside the Mullinax Ford showroom. Let’s show them what the Apopka community can do!

Our hearts are so full after this incredible blessing. 💙

The amazing young people of YMCA Youth in Government collected more than 1,000 items for Loaves & Fishes, and then took the time to personally hand deliver every single one to our pantry.

There is something incredibly special about watching the next generation discover what it means to serve others. These young people didn’t just donate items. They gave their time, their effort, and their hearts to help people in an entire community whom they may never even meet.

More than 1,000 items means stocked shelves, fuller bags, and countless little blessings that will soon find their way into the homes of the families we serve.

We also want to give a very special thank you to James Williams, who orchestrated this entire effort and helped bring it all together. James, thank you for believing in our mission, for pouring into these young people, and for turning a heart to serve into something that will touch so many lives. We are incredibly grateful for you.

At Loaves & Fishes, we are reminded every day that God uses willing hands and generous hearts to care for His people. What a beautiful thing to see those hands belong to the next generation. ❤️

To every student, leader, family member, and everyone who helped make this possible, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You showed us that you are never too young to make an incredible difference.

This September, Mullinax Ford is joining Ford’s 2026 Global Food Drive, a worldwide effort spanning 33 countries with a goal of collecting more than 3 million pounds of food. We are incredibly grateful that Loaves & Fishes has been chosen as the local recipient of everything collected!

Mullinax is kicking things off with $500 from Sales and $500 from Service, and now they need YOUR help to FILL THE TRUCK! 🛻🥫

Throughout September, you can bring non-perishable food donations to the truck located inside the Mullinax Ford showroom. Every donation, big or small, helps us continue feeding the families God places before us each week.

What a beautiful example of neighbors loving neighbors and a community coming together to be the hands and feet of Jesus. ❤️

Sometimes, we are given the beautiful privilege of watching God make a way where there simply didn’t seem to be one. 💙

Last week, we received a phone call from a woman named Anna. A church that had been providing food for the people she serves had unexpectedly let her know they could no longer continue. Suddenly, Anna was faced with the heartbreaking reality that people were depending on her for food, and she didn’t know where it was going to come from.

So she spent the day calling organization after organization, searching for someone who could help.

Eventually, she called Loaves & Fishes.

We were outside of their service area. She knew that. But as a last ditch effort, she made one more phone call.

And God answered.

What Anna couldn’t have known was that the Lord had already provided a way for us to say yes.

By Thursday morning, Anna and Brooke were at our doors, and together we were able to provide bags of food for the people they serve.

There is something incredibly humbling about moments like this. Anna thought she was simply looking for food. We thought we were simply answering a phone call. But God knew He was bringing His people together.

Meeting Anna and Brooke was a gift to us. Hearing Anna’s heart for the people she serves and seeing how tirelessly she fought to make sure they would not go without reminded us of exactly why Loaves & Fishes exists.

We often talk about being the hands and feet of Jesus, but sometimes we are blessed enough to actually watch it happen.

It looks like one woman refusing to give up on people who need her.

It looks like one more phone call when every other door seems to have closed.

It looks like strangers becoming friends, ministries becoming partners, and God taking what each of us has and using it to provide for His children.

Anna called Loaves & Fishes as a last resort.

But we believe God already knew exactly where that call was going to land. 💙

What an incredible reminder that when we cannot see a way forward, He can.

We are so thankful for Anna and Brooke, so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross, and deeply humbled that He continues to trust Loaves & Fishes with opportunities like this.

May we always be willing to answer when He calls us to love, to serve, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus. ❤️

🎉 WE DID IT!!! 💙

We are absolutely overjoyed to share that we have officially met our goal for our new AC units!

What began as a very big need was met with an even bigger outpouring of love. Because of the incredible generosity of our community, friends, churches, businesses, volunteers, and donors, the full cost of our new AC units has been covered!

Every gift, every share, every prayer, and every person who chose to come alongside us made this possible. We simply cannot say thank you enough.

Once again, God has reminded us that when His people come together with willing hearts, incredible things happen. These new units will serve Loaves & Fishes for years to come, allowing us to continue serving our families and volunteers in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. 💙

Each month, they faithfully bless Loaves & Fishes with a trunk full of our most needed and essential items. What a beautiful gift it is to know that the families we serve are continually remembered and loved so generously.

One of the most beautiful things about Loaves & Fishes is that somewhere along the way, the lines between those who serve and those who are served begin to disappear. We simply become family. 💙

Our clients, volunteers, staff, donors, and friends all have a place here. Each of us brings something different, each of us plays a vital role, and together we become many hands and many hearts working toward one purpose: loving and serving others for the glory of God.

We often say that we are blessed to bless others, and we truly are. But one of the greatest gifts of this ministry is discovering how often we are blessed by the very people God has given us the privilege to serve.

Last week was a beautiful reminder of that.

One of our precious clients took the time to make personalized initial keychains for all of our volunteers, simply out of the kindness of her own heart. There was no expectation and no reason other than gratitude and love. She simply wanted to give something back to the people who have loved and served her.

It may seem like a small gesture, but to us, it was anything but small. It was a beautiful reminder that generosity has very little to do with what we have and everything to do with the heart from which we give.

We are continually humbled by the incredible people who walk through our doors. They remind us that Loaves & Fishes was never meant to be a place where one group gives and another simply receives. We belong to one another. We encourage one another. We bless one another. And together, we get to be a small reflection of the love of Christ.

What a privilege it is to serve. And what an even greater privilege it is to be loved so beautifully in return. 💙
