🌟 Medic 106 Provider Spotlight – Michaela Hoover 🌟

This month, we’re proud to recognize Michaela Hoover for her dedication, compassion, and commitment to growing as an EMS provider. Michaela says her favorite part of the job is being able to help people on some of their worst days and knowing she can make a difference when it matters most.

One experience that has stayed with her was delivering a baby girl just two months into her EMS career — a moment she’ll never forget. Michaela credits staying calm under pressure, working well with others, and always being dependable as some of the qualities that help her succeed in EMS.

Outside of work, Michaela enjoys concerts, spending time with her cats, doing nails, and getting tattoos. Her go-to shift snacks? Coconut Red Bulls and Slim Jims.

When asked what advice she would give to new team members, Michaela shared:
“Be willing to learn, ask lots of questions, and remember that confidence comes with experience.”

Michaela would also like to give a special thank you to John McCollough, Mark Jackson, Kyle Englert, and Bre McAfee for their support, guidance, and encouragement throughout her EMS journey.

Day and night, rain or shine, holidays and weekends, EMS professionals answer the call without hesitation. They are the calm in chaos, the helping hand during emergencies, and the reassurance patients and families need during difficult moments.

To our Medic 106 crews — thank you for your commitment to patient care, teamwork, and serving our communities with professionalism and pride. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud of everything you do each and every day.
